AMERICA NEEDS YOUR HELP
Americans have valuable information, historical knowledge, political
views and personal values not reflected in today's mainline media.
Knowledge and ideals are necessary but, by themselves alone, are insufficient to effect change in these critical times.
Ordinary Americans must democratically remove from power a selfish and dangerous oligarchy that is not only waging aggressive warfare on behalf of its financial and military-industrial elites, but also is torturing political prisoners and prisoners of war. This is not a system of which we can be proud.
Not long ago our country was looked upon throughout the world as a beacon of Freedom and as a successful, however imperfect, example of self-government. We must demonstrate our courage to men and women in the world struggling against other tyrannical governments.
We the People must continue a struggle for Liberty and limited government that began on this continent just a few generations ago.
Americans rallied a generation ago to stop the insanity and horrors the unelected Pentagon bureaucracy brought to southeast Asia, supported by the bankers and their corporations that finance US elections. To finally end the horrors in Vietnam, Congress did not reject its annual "Aid for South Vietnam" appropriation until protests turned ugly. Our cowardly congress-kritters, concerned about returning to the mayhem in their own home districts, declined to renew that euphemistic legislation. Lacking funds, the Pentagon war-hawks were obliged to bring home the troops. Unfortunately, over 50,000 young Americans and over one million Vietnamese had already been killed. This time, hopefully, we will effect political change purely through democratic means.
Remembering student-let dissent of the 1960's, the government today is
waging war largely with mercenaries and private forces in order to avoid militarily drafting college-age young men and women. As a result, despite horrors being perpetrated worldwide, campuses have remained relatively uninvolved and peaceful. There are indications that this will not continue, given the disillusionment and sense of betrayal engendered by our president's policies that contradict his campaign rhetoric.
Persons throughout the world are waiting for the American people to demonstrate, protesting that they have had enough, thereby proving America's experiment in representative government remains alive and well. The madness must be stopped before we Americans no longer have a chance to restore protections of our Bill of Rights. We hold fast to the ideals of non-violence and peaceful protest.
The challenge is as old as human history. We, together with like-minded groups, can swing the pendulum back toward a respect for the value and dignity of human life, domestically and internationally. Everyone will not be our friend and national defense is a must. We must stop making more enemies day by day. Americans must not be saddled with financial and human costs of waging wars avoidable by exercising restraint and diplomacy. The price of our Liberty is eternal vigilance.
Pamphleteering is the only way, aside from the internet, to expose government's televised propaganda and psy-op press-releases that are publicized daily even on National Public Radio. Pamphleteering worked for Thomas Paine. It resulted in the executions in Nazi Germany of the White Rose students because pamphleteering is very powerful. The censorship of our nation's mainline print journalism today goes without saying. The time has come for We the People to again join together in the eternal struggle against hugely concentrated wealth and its self-serving political power. PLEASE JOIN US.
